As we continue catching up with our favorite contestants from For the Love of Money (FTLOM), Season 2’s Lala shares her story—a cautionary tale filled with twists, turns, and some juicy revelations. Here’s what happened after she left the island thinking she had found her person in Jevon and the lessons she learned along the way.
Lala came to show with one goal: to find love. When she left the island, she believed she had found it in Jevon. However, reality hit hard once she returned to the US. Communication between them fell flat, with Jevon often ghosting her. Her intuition told her something was off; she wasn’t feeling the same energy from Jevon that she had felt on the show.
The real wake-up call came from Jevon’s WhatsApp stories. Every night, he posted photos of his dinners, always showing two plates. Lala couldn’t ignore the nagging feeling that Jevon was seeing someone else. It was a clear sign that something was amiss, and it was the moment she realized things were not as they seemed.
When confronted, Jevon explained: that the second plate was supposedly for later. However, he eventually admitted that the second plate was for someone else. Despite his claim that he came on the show 100% single and committed, Lala felt betrayed.
Lala didn’t hold back her frustration. “One month after the show ended, that’s crazy,” she said. “I should have picked the other guy because you’re fake.” Her disappointment was palpable, and she left a strong message for the women of the next season to learn from her experience and Trust Your Intuition.
